Impartiality is designed into our processes — separate engagement and review teams, conflict-of-interest checks, and an internal review of every opinion before it is signed. It is a system, not a promise.
Standards are Non-Negotiable
We work to the GHG Protocol, the ISO 14060 series, ISO 14065, and ISO/IEC 17029. If a methodology does not have a recognised standard behind it, we say so — clearly and on record.
Confidentiality is Absolute
Client data is handled under strict information security policies. Nothing leaves our engagement systems without explicit authorisation. Every team member operates under documented confidentiality obligations.

Independent GHG Verification Body Established
EDAT was founded with a single purpose: delivering independent, standards-aligned GHG verification and validation services to operators, developers, and regulators across Africa and beyond.
ISO 14064 / 14065 Quality Framework Adopted
Our quality management system was built in full alignment with ISO 14065 and ISO/IEC 17029 — establishing the structural processes for impartiality, evidence gathering, and independent opinion review.
Seven-Stage Verification Methodology Formalised
A documented seven-stage engagement pathway was established covering pre-engagement, strategic analysis, risk assessment, evidence gathering, site visits, verification review, and opinion issuance.
Accreditation Application Submitted
EDAT initiated its formal accreditation application with internationally recognised bodies — committing to transparent, independently audited assurance operations aligned with ISO/IEC 17029.
Impartiality is structural — not a marketing claim.
EDAT operates under a formal Impartiality Policy and Quality Management System aligned with ISO 14065 and ISO/IEC 17029. We maintain conflict-of-interest registers, independent review of every assurance engagement, and a complaints and appeals process open to any party.
We do not provide consulting services that would create a conflict on engagements we then assure. Personnel are screened for conflicts at engagement onboarding, and an internal register tracks past relationships.
